eShare 162 Release Notes
ENHANCEMENTS
- Workflow for User Request and Justification for Sharing from SharePoint Sites
Users can now request an eShare admin to enable sharing for SharePoint sites where sharing is not previously enabled. This request is made when attempting to create a Trusted Share through the eShare SharePoint Trusted Sharing app, Action Menu app, or the M365 Trusted Sharing app. A new tab, Pending Requests, is now available within the SharePoint Sites page of the Admin Console. Here the admin can view and approve/deny sharing requests on a per site-basis, with an email notification being sent to users have made requests.
- Download with Approval Sharing Option
To better balance security and usability, the download control within sharing policies now includes a “Download with Approval” option. When enabled, share recipients can request download rights on a share and label-specific basis. This request must include a business justification from the recipient and be approved by the share owner, who must also provide their own justification for their approval.
- Improved Print Quality for PDF Viewer
When a PDF document was printed from our PDF viewer, the print appeared blurry for some of our clients. We have enhanced the feature and improved the quality of the printing result.
BUG FIXES
- When searching within Trusted Shares, the results were not returning as expected. We have resolved this issue
- When the owner of a share used the "Disable Everyone" option, it still allowed share co-owner access to the share. We have resolved this issue.
- When both the "Create & Upload" option and the "Select folders..." sub-options were set within a sharing policy, the upload button did not appear as a menu option within the Trusted Share. This prevented recipients from uploading files. We have resolved this issue.
