eShare 159 Release Notes
ENHANCEMENTS
- Informational Message When Sharing from SharePoint Sites is Disallowed
When attempting to share a file from a SharePoint site where file sharing is restricted due to the site.selected feature, users will now receive a more informative and actionable message. This ensures that users are fully informed about sharing limitations and are provided guidance as to how they can request sharing approval.
- Optional Use of “no-reply” as Sender of Notifications
Notifications can now optionally be sent with no-reply@companydomain.com as the sender in the From field. This provides a more uniform sender address for all notifications, enhancing clarity and consistency for notification recipients. You continue to have the existing ability to have notifications sent by the share owner/co-owner and no-reply@companydomain.com, depending on the notification type. This setting is on the CWP Email Notification page within the Admin Console.
BUG FIXES
- In some cases, large zip files failed to download, resulting in an internal server error. The bug has been fixed, ensuring that large zip files can now be downloaded without errors.
- The Share-With-Me link on a SharePoint/Teams site that was already registered to eShare could not be activated. This issue has been corrected.
- Users got an "Access Denied" message when navigating to the Cloud Provider tab after an SPO site was added or granted access using the site.selected feature. This issue has been fixed.
- If a Sharing Policy had a Maximum Extension Period, it was not being enforced when a share owner attempted to extend the expiration date. This issue has been corrected.
- If a share co-owner approved an invitation from their own Shareable Link, the audit event incorrectly stated that the owner approved it. This issue has been fixed.
