eShare 154 Release Notes
NEW FEATURE
-
Archive and Restore actions are available to the owners of a Trusted Share
The new Archive action allows owners to archive no longer used Trusted Shares by disabling all the recipients of the share and hiding the share from both the owner’s My Shares page and the recipient’s Shared With Me page. The archived shares are moved to a new share filter category called Archived Shares. When shares are viewed using the Archived Share filter and a share is selected, a Restore action is available. Restore re-enables recipient access and moves the share back to the owner’s All Shares filter category. This feature allows users to organize and manage their shares more effectively.
ENHANCEMENTS
-
Bulk Delete Confirmation for Allow/Block Lists
As an admin, when you attempt to bulk delete allow/block lists that are associated with sharing policies or configured on the Device Policy page, a confirmation modal will appear. This modal will provide details about the linked policies and offer options to either proceed with the deletion or cancel the action. This ensures you are fully informed of the implications of bulk deleting lists and can make a deliberate decision on how to proceed.

Enhanced Password Validation Check for eShare Managed Accounts
We have improved our password validation checks to provide more useful feedback to users when their chosen account password does not meet minimum password requirements (i.e., 8 characters, one uppercase, one lowercase, one special character and one number). We have additionally added a check for common passwords to prevent the use of a weak password (e.g., Password1!).
-
New “Override of Blocked Recipient” Event
An audit log “Override of Blocked Recipient” event will now be generated when a user overrides a blocked recipient during the Trusted Share creation process. This new event will include the justification the user provided in applying the override.
BUG FIXES
-
When users clicked on the "Direct Link" URL, they were redirected to the eShare Cloud Web Portal instead of the intended native cloud provider portal. This misdirection caused confusion and disrupted workflow as users expected to access the native cloud provider directly. This issue was resolved.
-
When users tried to create a Trusted Share from a folder or file that had been natively shared with them within Dropbox, they received an error message stating, "You are not authorized to share this folder." This issue has been addressed and fixed.
-
When users with edit rights within a SharePoint site attempted to create a Trusted Share, they encountered an unexpected error message stating, "You need Can Edit rights." This issue has been identified and resolved to ensure that users with the appropriate editing permissions can successfully create Trusted Shares.
-
Due to user inactivity, personal GRAPH tokens expired and failed to refresh. This issue has now been addressed to ensure tokens are properly refreshed, maintaining continuous access without interruption.
