eShare 148 Release Notes
FEATURES
- Mention @everyone command within Secure Conversations
We're excited to announce that the mention @everyone command is now accessible within Secure Conversations. This feature allows users to efficiently notify all participants in a secure conversation, ensuring important messages reach every Trusted Share participant promptly. This addition enhances collaboration and coordination, facilitating seamless interaction within Trusted Shares. Please be aware that using "@everyone" will trigger notifications for users regardless of the sharing policy settings designed to prevent members of a Trusted Share from being notified.
ENHANCEMENTS
- PDF electronic signature
We introduced significant enhancements to our PDF electronic signature functionality, benefiting all our users. Among the improvements, typing is now the default input method. This was the choice of most all users, and the change eliminates the need to make this choice. Additionally, the size of the signature, date and text widgets are now uniform, making it easier to prepare a document for signature. These enhancements signify our commitment to providing a robust and user-friendly platform for electronic signatures, empowering users with streamlined workflows and enhanced functionality.
- New audit event for link conversions
A new audit event is now available for tracking each native Microsoft link conversion performed. With this enhancement, users and administrators can now track the conversion of links comprehensively, ensuring accountability and transparency when Microsoft links are used to create or add content to a Trusted Share.
- UI adjustments for pop-up modals and button refinements
In this latest enhancement, we've made several changes to the UI aimed at improving the overall user experience. These adjustments allow users to navigate our platform with ease and efficiency. For instance, the button previously labeled as "Forward To," accessible to TS owners/co-owners and recipients (in line with the sharing policy), facilitating the addition of recipients to Trusted Shares, has been updated to "Add recipient". Furthermore, the menu option previously titled "Recipients" has been changed to "Manage recipients."
BUG FIXES
- In the "Manage recipients" drawer, clicking the 'bulk actions' button and then selecting another tab resulted in the 'bulk actions' dropdown remaining open. This issue was particularly noticeable on tabs with no recipients. This has been corrected and should no longer be the case.
- If users selected multiple files via bulk and then clicked "Remove" without refreshing the page, some files remained in the favorites tab despite the action. This has been corrected and should no longer be the case.
- When a user tried to proactively extend access to another user and opted for the "advanced" option, the user interface (UI) displaying times and a calendar became dysfunctional, presenting a lengthy list of times that are difficult for the user to discern. This has been corrected and should no longer be the case.
- If a user attempted to upload a native MS link to a trusted share without appropriate permissions, our system did not handle the error with useful messages to the user. This has been corrected and should no longer be the case.
