eShare 141 Release Notes
NEW FEATURES
-
Support for Share With Me Link via Microsoft Azure Blob Storage
Share With Me allows Trusted Shares to be dynamically created by external parties using the Share With Me link of organization users and user groups, using OneDrive and SharePoint respectively. In this release we additionally support Azure Blob Storage for use cases requiring performance and file size support beyond what SharePoint can provide. eShare administrators can register their Blob Storage and link this to an Azure AD Group that is also registered by the admin. Group members will see in their Shared With Me tab within the Cloud Web Portal any Trusted Share created using the Share With Me Link that is unique to the AD Group.
-
Resumable File Uploads
In this release we are now able to resume file uploads that have been interrupted for a wide range of reasons. This is especially useful when large files are uploaded. Users will be given the opportunity to resume or cancel pending uploads.
ENHANCEMENTS
-
“Get Shareable Link” option within Trusted Shares
The “Get Shareable Link” option has been added to the quick access menu bar that is available within a Trusted Share. This addition will allow users to generate a shareable link without the need to exit the Trusted Share view and access the Get Shareable Link option from the My Shares or Shared With Me quick access menus.
-
Guest URL notification
All email notifications that provide a link to a Trusted Share now include language at the bottom of the notification that makes the recipient aware of the sharing organization’s Guest Page, where all Trusted Shares made available to the recipient from that organization can be accessed. In addition to providing ease of use (e.g., the Guest URL can be bookmarked for later use), it provides a URL that is easy to input manually into the recipient’s browser. This provides a secure alternative for accessing Trusted Shares to recipient’s who prefer not to click a link in accessing a Trusted Share.
