This document describes the steps required to update the eSHARE SharePoint Application in your organization’s M365 tenant when a new version is released.
Unlike consumer apps that get updated automatically from the Microsoft Store, M365 apps deployed from the SharePoint Store will need to be updated manually.
The procedure described below assumes that the administrator responsible for adding the application is assigned with the SharePoint Administrator or Global Administrator role.
Updating the eShare Trusted Sharing for SharePoint App
- Start by accessing the SharePoint Admin Center (https://yourdomain-admin.sharepoint.com) and go the More features page and click Open under Apps.
- While on the Apps page, click the classic experience link at the top of the page.
- Select the eSHARE Trusted Sharing for SharePoint app. Click FILES and click Upgrade Store App.
- A screen will appear and the app will be downloaded. After the download, the following screen is displayed. If you had previously selected the option upon initial deployment, Select Make this solution available to all sites in the organization, otherwise just click Deploy.
- The Application should now show the latest version in the SharePoint Apps menu.
