eShare 156 Release Notes
NEW FEATURES
- PDF Document Annotations
We have implemented PDF document annotations, allowing users to add notes, highlights, and other annotations to their PDF documents. This feature improves the user’s ability to collaborate on shared content and communicate desired changes.
ENHANCEMENTS
- OTP via Microsoft and Google Authenticators
OTP can now be performed using Microsoft and Google Authenticators. This is enabled via Device Policy using the OTP Delivery Method setting. Once enabled, users who are being asked to authenticate using OTP will be provided a QR code and personal key which can be independently used with their Authenticator app to obtain an OTP code for entry into the Trusted Share access modal.
- Guest Portal Shows Shares Specific to IdP Used for Recipient Authentication
When organizations configure sharing policies with different identity providers (IdP), as eShare allows, the Guest Portal now shows to the recipient only those shares that are associated with that IdP. This allows segmentation of shares when an organization uses multiple IdPs for their recipients, which can occur when multiple brands are used by the organization.
- Share Auditing Log Available to Co-Owners from Shared With Me
An Auditing menu item is now available to co-owners of shares that are accessed via Shared With Me. This allows share co-owners to view audit events for a specific share, just as share owners can from My Shares.
BUG FIXES
- When creating Access Links from the Cloud Provider page, in some cases the user would receive a “temporary cloud provider error”. This issue has been corrected.
- When Shared With Me for OneDrive is enabled within Corporate Cloud Provider, and OneDrive was selected as the Cloud Provider, we did not show under the “Shared With Me” folder in OneDrive the files that were natively shared with the user via OneDrive. This issue has now been resolved.
