eShare 151 Release Notes
NEW FEATURES
- Creating & Managing Email/Domain Lists for Sharing Policy Integration
Administrators can now more easily create and better manage email and domain allow/block lists that are associated with sharing policies. They can now create lists by manually entering email addresses or by importing CSV files, with each file having a unique name and keyword (which becomes immutable after creation). Admins can update lists to add or remove email addresses, or delete lists entirely, with checks to ensure keyword uniqueness. List creation and management is performed under a new page (Allow/block List) in the Admin Console. And associating lists with sharing policies is performed using a new UX within Sharing Policies in the Admin Console.
- Emoji reactions support within Secure Conversations
In Secure Conversations, user “reactions” are available to all participants for applying to messages. Users who are prevented from seeing share participants due to the applied sharing policy cannot see reaction attribution by hovering over reactions, while users with appropriate permissions can view a dropdown list that reveals who reacted and what kind of reaction they made. Note that reactions are not incorporated into exports of Secure Conversations.
ENHANCEMENTS
- Defaulting to Active Tab and Reorganizing Tabs in Manage Recipients Modal for Improved Usability
When users access the Manage Recipients modal, they typically intend to manage "Active" recipients, but the default view had been to display "All" recipients. To minimize confusion and enhance the user experience, we set "Active" as the default tab. Additionally, we reorganized the tabs to improve usability.
BUG FIXES
- Audit events for the "Access Link" and "Copy Shareable Link" actions were incorrectly reporting the user who performed the action. This has been corrected and should no longer be the case.
- Trusted Share recipients were receiving a notification indicating that a file was uploaded during the creation of a Trusted Share via the Secure Mail Gateway. This has been corrected and should no longer be the case.
- The override notification email was not being sent when the file owner provided justification for a requested access to a file within the Trusted Share. This has been corrected and should no longer be the case.
- When an admin tries to transfer ownership of a Trusted Share which was created using the SharePoint Trusted Share application, the admin receives an error telling them they cannot transfer ownership as the share was created from personal cloud storage. This has been corrected and should no longer be the case.
- New organizations could not be approved from the eShare admin portal. This has been corrected and should no longer be the case.
