eShare 150 Release Notes
ENHANCEMENTS
-
IDP Provider-Based Guest URLs
The email notifications inviting external users were adjusted to include modified guest URLs, allowing for the use of custom guest URLs based on the selected IDP provider in sharing policies. If no IDP provider is selected when login is required to access a share, the default guest page will be displayed in the email notification.
-
Sharer setting is respected via Secure Mail Gateway
When a SharePoint site is directly linked to eShare through the SharePoint Sites page, administrators are given the option to decide whether sharing from that site should be restricted to owners only. Previously, this setting was only applied when shares were created via the Cloud Web Portal, but now it has been expanded to also be applied when shares are created via the Secure Mail Gateway.
-
Manage recipients from the Shared With Me page
To ensure that co-owners of a Trusted Share can manage recipients, we added a unified Manage Recipients button to the Shared With Me page, mirroring the functionality available to owners on the My Shares page.
-
Search improvements in Shared With Me page
Users were limited to searching by share creator and couldn't search by share recipients in Shared With Me page. Users can now search by share recipients.
-
Notification for Domain Restriction List Overrides
A notification is now sent to designated email addresses whenever a user overrides a domain restriction (block/allow list). This notification includes the business justification for the override. The recipient(s) of these notifications are set within Device Policy within the Admin Console.
-
Sharing Policy Filter in Power BI Report
This update introduces a new Sharing Policy filter in all pages of our basic Power BI report. It allows users to select one or more Sharing Policies and the report will be updated to show only data associated with the selected Sharing Policies.
BUG FIXES
-
Following the Convert to PDF action on a native M365 linked file in a share, a PDF file is generated. However, upon refreshing the page, another PDF file (a shortcut) appeared. This has been corrected and should no longer be the case.
-
On iPhone 13 Pro devices when using the Edge browser, the Accept and Close buttons for our Terms of Use were scarcely visible and could only be selected with extreme precision. This has been corrected and should no longer be the case. -
In instances where Trusted Shares were created with OTP activation or under specific Terms of Use, the last access field remained unchanged upon the external recipient's initial access. Only after the recipient performed a subsequent action such as refreshing the page will the Last access field be updated. This has been corrected and should no longer be the case.
-
If a user was invited to a Trusted Share with login requirement enabled, created a new eShare account, and was then prompted to verify, upon clicking the verification email they were redirected to the inviting organization’s IDP Provider to sign in. This caused confusion as the user attempted to log in to their newly created account and was told they were unable to. This has been corrected and should no longer be the case.
