eShare 138 Release Notes
NEW FEATURES
-
Get Shareable Link for existing Trusted Shares
The Get Shareable Link option is now available to all existing Trusted Shares created by a user - located in the My Shares and Shared With Me sections of the Cloud Web Portal. When a user selects an existing Trusted Share and clicks on the "Get Shareable Link" option, a link will be generated and automatically copied to the clipboard. The user can then make this link available to recipients via email, Teams, other Trusted Shares, or any other platform of choice, and recipients can follow this link to access the Trusted Share.
Depending on the sharing policy set for the Trusted Share, the recipient will be taken through the appropriate authentication method if "Require Login" or "Require OTP" is enabled. Users that are not part of the original recipient list may be given access to the Trusted Share by the Trusted Share owner or co-owner, depending on the sharing policy of the Trusted Share. -
Recipient Allow/Deny list Override with Justification
Sharing Policies that have a defined allow/deny list for recipient domains/emails can now be configured to allow for a user override. When the “Allow user override” switch associated with the “Allow/Deny List” option is set to “Yes”, users will be able to override a blocked recipient when creating a Trusted Share. This override requires the user to provide a business justification before the Trusted Share can be created with an otherwise blocked recipient. This justification becomes part of the audit record. -
ENHANCEMENTS
-
Changeable Secure Message Body option in Trusted Shares
For Trusted Shares generated via our Secure Mail Gateway, the Secure Message Body option can now be changed by the Trusted Share owner or co-owner after creation of the Trusted Share. When Secure Message Body is enabled, replies by internal users to existing secure emails will have their email body secured (attachments already protected). Recipients will receive a notification providing them a link to the secured email body content and email attachments. This enhancement provides Trusted Share owners greater control over existing Trusted Shares created via the Secure Mail Gateway. This is especially needed when it is determined that sensitive information in the body of an email is deserving of protection. -
SharePoint Sites in Admin console
The SharePoint Sites menu in the admin console has seen further improvements. The entire list of linked SharePoint sites is now scrollable (i.e., pagination was removed). Additionally, all columns are now sortable and resizable.
BUG FIXES
-
There was an issue when editing email templates in the "SMG e-mail branding" menu, that would sometimes cause unfinalized changes made to templates to not be saved. This has been corrected and should no longer be the case.
-
There was an issue when editing email templates in the "SMG e-mail branding" menu, that would sometimes cause changes made to the "Confirmation" template to be saved in the "Bounce" message template instead. This has been corrected and should no longer be the case.
-
There was an issue that caused the "rename" option to be missing from the top control panel - but was present when using the "..." menu on an existing Trusted Share. The missing button should once again be available to the top control panel as well.
-
On some occasions, using the search functionality of the SharePoint sites section in admin console of Cloud Web Portal, resulted in the display of an error message. This has been corrected and should no longer be the case.
