eShare Secure Message Body Outlook Add-in Installation Guide
Purpose:
The purpose of the Secure Body add-in is to provide user’s a choice as to when they would like to have the Attachment and Body of their email secured by eShare when sending a secure mail.
Prerequisites:
For this Add-in to work, your organization’s eShare administrator will need to edit their Secure Mail sharing policies to allow for User override on the Secure Message Body option. Your eShare Customer Success manager will assist you with this process.
Navigate to your M365 Admin Center (https://admin.microsoft.com/), then select Settings > Integrated apps. When the Integrated apps page opens select Upload custom apps.
After selecting Upload custom apps, select the app type as Office Add-in, and select Upload manifest file (.xml) from device. A file explorer window will open, select the eShare Secure Body XML file, and then select Next once the file has been validated. (NOTE: If you do not have the file, please contact your eShare Customer Success Manager).
Next, select No for test deployment option, then you will need decide who deploy the app to. eShare’s best practice suggests the App is deployed to Entire organization. Once your option has been chosen, Select Next.
Now you will need to review and accept the permissions required by the Secure Body App, once reviewed select Next and then select Finish Deployment.
The deployment process will begin and will last about a minute. Once completed you will be shown a page that says Deployment completed, this indicates the installation was successful. You should now select Done. (NOTE: It can take up to 6 hours for the outlook add-in to appear in the client once the deployment is complete)
Once the Add-in has been deployed, users will see it in the ribbon of their outlook client when composing a new email. The Add-in works as a toggle button, if the user clicks the button once they will receive a tool tip saying “The body of your email will be secured by eShare”
